Q. Is the Municipal Court closed during lunch?
A. No. During normal business hours, there are always cashiers on duty to assist you.
Normal Business Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Excluding Holidays)


Q. How do I tell if my ticket is under the jurisdiction of Municipal Court?
A. On your ticket, it will say "MUNICIPAL COURT CITATION" on the front, top center.


Q. How can I check to see if I have any tickets or citations at Municipal Court?
A. You may check for parking tickets online, however, if there is any doubt whether or not you have a ticket, please call the Court at (806) 775-2473. For all non-parking violations, please call (806) 775-2473.


Q. How do I get a marriage license?
A. The Municipal Court does NOT handle marriage licenses or related records. You will need to contact the Lubbock County Courthouse for more info. Visit their website at http://www.co.lubbock.tx.us/.


Q. How do I file small claims suits?
A. The Municipal Court does NOT handle small claims litigation. You will need to contact the Lubbock County Courthouse for more info. Visit their website at http://www.co.lubbock.tx.us/.


Q. What do I do if I receive a parking ticket "courtesy notice" for a car I no longer own?
A. Parking ticket reminders, or "courtesy notices", are mailed to the last known registered owner of a vehicle. There may be delay between when you sold the car and when the car is registered under the new owner's name.

If you no longer own the vehicle, write a brief statement to this effect on the back of the courtesy notice, and mail the notice to our mailing address.
